California Proposition 65 – Florona Home

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings to California consumers when they may be exposed to certain chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

The list of chemicals is maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and currently includes hundreds of substances that may be found in everyday products, finishes, coatings, metals, plastics, and dyes.

Because some Florona Home products (for example: metal parts, painted finishes, electrical components, glazes, or synthetic materials) may contain trace amounts of these regulated chemicals, we are required to provide a Proposition 65 warning for certain items shipped to California.
